Forecasters say cold air will move into Southeast Alabama

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - It's feeling a little nippy outside.

Forecasters say even though the snow is gone - the biting cold
will linger across Ala. at least through Tuesday.

A hard freeze watch is in effect for late Monday night through
Tuesday morning for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston
counties in southeast Ala.

Meteorologists at the Tallahassee, Fla. office said it could dip
into the mid 20's by daybreak. So residents are advised to protect
pets and sensitive plants.

Also, there's a flood warning posted for the Tombigbee River at
the lower Bevill Lock and Dam. A similar warning was canceled for
the Black Warrior River.
