THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...
SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA...AND THE FLORIDA BIG BEND
AND PANHANDLE...AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...
A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OFF THE COAST OF THE CAROLINAS WILL MOVE
FURTHER TO THE EAST INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN TODAY...AS A
DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT
GRADUALLY APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST. THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING A
GRADUAL INCREASE IN THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
AREA FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST...BEFORE THE BOUNDARY TEMPORARILY
STALLS TO OUR NORTHWEST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...
ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...A VIGOROUS UPPER LEVEL LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DIVE SOUTHEASTWARD TOWARDS THE GULF COAST AND
HELP PUSH THE BOUNDARY TO OUR NORTH THROUGH THE REGION OVER THE
UPCOMING WEEKEND. THIS POTENT SYSTEM HAS THE INGREDIENTS TO WORK
WITH AND THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE A FAIRLY WIDESPREAD SEVERE
WEATHER EVENT ACROSS THE REGION ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY
NIGHT...SO ALL INTERESTS ARE URGED TO MONITOR THE LATEST
FORECASTS...WATCHES...AND WARNINGS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE ON THIS POTENTIAL SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER EVENT. AT
THIS TIME...DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND LARGE HAIL ARE EXPECTED TO BE
THE PRIMARY THREATS...BUT ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE AS
WELL.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED TODAY...BUT WILL VERY LIKELY BE
NEEDED ON SATURDAY.
