GFS AND EURO ARE NOW MORE IN AGREEMENT ON A SOLUTION THROUGH THE MID RANGE. A VIGOROUS SHORT WAVE NOW ENTERING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST IS FORECAST TO MOVE RAPIDLY EAST AND SOUTH...REACHING THE CENTRAL PLAINS BY LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND DIGGING DEEP INTO THE SOUTHEAST ON SATURDAY. THE ARRIVAL OF THIS SHORT WAVE ON SATURDAY WILL PUSH A STRONG COLD FRONT RAPIDLY SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA DURING SAT EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. THE PROSPECT OF A DYNAMIC SYSTEM WITH A DEEP LAYER OF WARM MOIST AIR AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT HAS THE MAKINGS OF ANOTHER POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER EVENT ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA...AND WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED CLOSELY AS THE WEEKEND APPROACHES. FURTHER INTO THE EXTENDED PERIOD THE FORECAST BECOMES LESS CERTAIN WITH A PERSISTENT STRONG AND RELATIVELY ZONAL FLOW CONTINUING. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW CLIMO THROUGH THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK FOLLOWED BY A RETURN TO NEAR OF A LITTLE ABOVE CLIMO BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
