Discussion through Thursday Night

THE SWRN U.S. SYSTEM WILL MOVE OUT INTO THE SRN PLAINS TONIGHT AND THEN TAKE ON A NEGATIVE TILT AS IT BEGINS TO LIFT NEWD ON WED. WHILE THIS WILL BE AN IMPRESSIVE SYSTEM WHILE OUT IN THE PLAINS AND MS VALLEY...IT IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE IN OUR AREA IN A MUCH WEAKENED STATE. THE SLIGHT RISK AREA IN SPC`S DAY 2 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK (WED-WED NIGHT) WAS PAIRED BACK SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE NW AND NONE OF OUR FORECAST AREA IS WITHIN THIS RISK AREA AT THIS TIME. WE COMPLETELY CONCUR WITH THIS UPDATE. WHILE SHEAR PROFILES WILL BE DECENT WITH THE SYSTEM...INSTABILITY WILL BE INSUFFICIENT TO SUPPORT SEVERE WX THIS FAR SE AS THE STRONGEST KINEMATICS LIFT WELL N OF THE AREA. WE EXPECT A WEAKENING LINE OF CONVECTION TO APPROACH OUR WRN ZONES WED AFTERNOON AND THEN MOVE ACROSS THE REST OF THE FORECAST AREA WED NIGHT. ONE OR TWO OF THE STORMS...OR EVEN THE STRONGER SHOWERS...COULD MIX DOWN WIND GUSTS IN THE 40-MPH RANGE. WINDS ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA WILL BE SUSTAINED AT 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS OF AROUND 30 MPH. THIS WILL LIKELY PROMPT THE ISSUANCE OF A LAKE WIND ADVISORY FOR TOMORROW. ANOTHER CONCERN FOR WED IS HIGH SURF. WE CONTINUE TO EXPECT SURF TO REACH 6 FT ALONG THE PANHANDLE COAST WITH OCCASIONAL HIGHER SETS. A HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS ALSO LIKELY AND MAY BE ISSUED AS EARLY AS THIS EVENING. AFTER FRONTAL PASSAGE WED NIGHT..WINDS AND SURF WILL SUBSIDE. IT WILL NOT BE ALL THAT COLD BEHIND THE FRONT WITH HIGHS THU WELL INTO THE 70S. LOW THU NIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE 40S.
