Friday through Tuesday Forecast Discussion

By: NWS
By: NWS

A DRY COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE REGION EARLY FRIDAY USHERING IN A MUCH DRIER AND COLDER AIRMASS FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. THE COLDEST TEMPS WILL BE FELT BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING WITH MIN TEMPS DROPPING INTO THE UPPER 20S TO AROUND 30. THE SURFACE HIGH THAT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COLD AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL MOVE EAST INTO THE WESTERN ATLANTIC SUNDAY ALLOWING THE NEXT COLD FRONT TO APPROACH. THE GFS DRAGS THE FRONT ACROSS OUR CWA LATE MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. DUE TO LIMITED DURATION OF ONSHORE FLOW WE ARE NOT EXPECTING MUCH IN THE WAY OF RAIN WITH THIS SYSTEM AND WILL ONLY SHOW A SLIGHT POP FOR THE MONDAY/MONDAY NIGHT TIME FRAME. THE FRONT SHOULD PUSH WELL TO THE SOUTH OF THE AREA ON TUESDAY AS AN UPPER TROUGH DIGS DOWN THE EASTERN SEABOARD.
