Thursday through Saturday Forecast

FAIR WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT AS OUR REGION WILL BE DOMINATED BY A DRY AIRMASS AND A COUPLE OF HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEMS. THE FIRST HIGH WILL BUILD OVER OUR AREA TONIGHT...FOLLOWED BY A DRY COLD FRONT PASSAGE THURSDAY NIGHT...AND ANOTHER HIGH BUILDING OVER THE REGION ON FRIDAY. THE AIRMASS WILL NOT BE PARTICULARLY COLD THROUGH FRIDAY...AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR AVERAGE. RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT SATURDAY. THE GFS IS THE FASTEST WITH THIS FRONT...WHILE THE NAM AND ECMWF ARE SIMILAR AND SLOWER THAN THE GFS. WE BLENDED THE GUIDANCE SINCE WE HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING WHICH SOLUTION WILL BE CORRECT THIS FAR OUT. THERE IS GOOD AGREEMENT AMONG THE VARIOUS MOS AND RAW MODEL OUTPUT THAT THURSDAY AFTERNOON WILL ONCE AGAIN BE GUSTY...THOUGH NOT QUITE AS GUSTY AS TODAY. STILL...WIND GUSTS NEAR 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE.
