A ROUND OF LOW OVERCAST OR FOG LOOKS IN STORE EACH NIGHT ACROSS THE REGION WITH THE WARM AND HUMID AIRMASS IN PLACE. IT IS EXPECTED THAT TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO BE WARM AND APPROACH 80 ON FRIDAY UNDER PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WHILE SOME OF THE MODELS ARE GENERATING SOME LIGHT QPF...IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS OVERDONE...SO WILL KEEP POPS AT THE SILENT 10 LEVEL. .LONG TERM...LITTLE CHANGE IN THE OVERALL LARGE SCALE PATTERN IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD...WITH A PERSISTENT LARGE SCALE TROF OVER THE WESTERN CONUS AND A PERSISTENT LARGE SCALE RIDGE OVER THE EAST. A SERIES OF VIGOROUS UPPER LEVEL SHORT WAVES MOVING RAPIDLY EASTWARD WILL TEMPORARILY ERODE THE RIDGE AND FLATTEN THE UPPER LEVEL FLOW ACROSS THE EASTERN U.S. THEY PROVIDE ENOUGH SUPPORT TO PUSH A WEAKENING COLD FRONT INTO THE AREA BEFORE IT STALLS AND DISSIPATES JUST TO OUR SOUTH BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. THIS FRONT WILL BRING A THREAT OF SHOWERS TO THE AREA LATE SUNDAY AND MONDAY. HOWEVER...THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SUPPORT FOR A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE RESULT WILL BE A LITTLE COOLER AND DRIER AIR SPREADING INTO THE AREA BY THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE WEEKEND WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE TO NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
