THE MAIN WEATHER STORY WILL BE SOME VERY COLD TEMPS THAT ARE ON TAP FOR MID WEEK. THE ARCTIC FRONT WILL SWEEP S ACROSS THE AREA TUE MORNING. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR A POSSIBLE HARD FREEZE EVENT TUE NIGHT/WED MORNING. TEMPS TONIGHT WILL NOT BE QUITE AS COOL AS THIS MORNING WITH SOME CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONTAL PASSAGE AND WINDS INCREASING AFTER MIDNIGHT. MOST INLAND AREAS WILL DIP INTO THE UPPER 30S. TUE WILL BE A BRISK DAY WITH HIGHS ONLY REACHING THE MID TO UPPER 50S...PERHAPS 60 AT THE COAST...AND N WINDS GUSTING FREQUENTLY TO 25 KT. THE ARCTIC HIGH WILL BUILD SWD TO A POSITION OVER AL BY 12Z WED. THE OPERATIONAL MOS CONSENSUS SHOWS MID 20S ACROSS MANY INLAND AREAS. HOWEVER, THE BIAS CORRECTED NAM/GFS INDICATE TEMPS COULD GET A COUPLE OF DEGREES LOWER THAN THAT. WE WILL TEND TOWARD THESE LOWER NUMBERS AND ISSUE A HARD FREEZE WATCH FOR THE ENTIRE FORECAST AREA. AREAS ALONG THE COAST WILL NOT GET A HARD FREEZE, BUT SHOULD DIP DOWN TO THE FREEZING MARK NONETHELESS. SIMILARLY, URBAN CENTERS SUCH AS TALLAHASSEE AND DOTHAN WILL SEE TEMPS SOME 5 TO 8 DEGREES WARMER THAN SURROUNDING RURAL AREAS. PREDICTED TEMPS WILL ESTABLISH NEW RECORD LOWS FOR THE 19TH IN MANY AREAS. MAX TEMPS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE HELD IN THE 50S WED AFTERNOON WITH ANOTHER WIDESPREAD FREEZE EXPECTED WED NIGHT INTO THU MORNING. SOME RECORD LOW TEMPS FOR NOV 19 ARE AS FOLLOWS:

DOTHAN 25 IN 1997
TALLAHASSEE FL 29 IN 1990
APALACHICOLA FL 34 IN 1951
PANAMA CITY FL 34 IN 1990
