THE SFC RIDGE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR COOL AND DRY WX TODAY AND OVER THE WEEKEND...WHICH IS NOW CENTERED NEAR THE TN/KY BORDER...WILL BUILD STEADILY NORTHEASTWARD TOWARDS NEW ENGLAND DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. AT THE SAME TIME...A DEVELOPING SHORTWAVE OVER THE AZ/NM BORDER REGION WILL EJECT NE INTO THE GREAT LAKES ON WED...WITH A SHARP AND DEEP UPPER LEVEL TROF CARVING OUT BEHIND IT TOWARDS THE WESTERN GULF COAST BY WED NIGHT. THIS SHARPENING TROF SHOULD HELP AMPLIFY A WEAK UPPER RIDGE OVER THE SE U.S. WHICH WILL ALLOW FOR A DECENT WARMING TREND OVER OUR REGION TUE AND WED BEFORE RAIN CHANCES RETURN TO THE AREA ON WED NIGHT AND THU. WITH THE DRY AIR REMAINING IN PLACE FOR TONIGHT...LOWS MAY STILL DIP INTO THE UPPER 30S OVER THE COLDER INLAND LOCATIONS...BUT MOST AREAS SHOULD REBOUND INTO THE MID 70S BY TOMORROW AFTERNOON. LOWS TUE NIGHT WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY MILDER...WITH HIGHS POSSIBLY APPROACHING THE 80 DEGREE MARK OVER SOME AREAS ON WED.
