Water Spout Moves Ashore at Panama City Beach

A water spout moved ashore at Panama City Beach at 8:20 this morning causing some damage at the Bay Point Golf Course, and the Preserve subdivision.

Most of the damage appeared to be trees and utility lines.

Then it skipped across St. Andrew Bay touching down again in the area between 23rd Street and 25th Street on Grant Ave. and Drummond Ave. where a car was destroyed, some buildings sustained damage and trees and power lined were downed.

No injuries have been reported.

Meanwhile, a Tornado Warning was posted at 9:15 AM for Franklin County after a water spout was spotted on radar in the area of the St. George Island Bridge.

There was no report of any damage as the storm moved across Apalachicola Bay into Eastpoint.
