Governor says Florida fuel supply not affected by Ike

Governor Charlie Crist says Florida's fuel supply is not being affected by Hurricane Ike.

Crist held a press conference Saturday and said the coastal
ports on the state's east and west coasts where it gets fuel
supplies are open.

He said the state' reserves are adequate and gas
stations are continuing to receive fuel.

If stations do not have fuel, it is not due to the lack of supply, but because of a temporary increase in demand, Crist said.

Crist urged people to report suspected cases of price gouging by
calling 1-800-HELP-FLA.

Already there are nearly 100 price gouging complaints, with more than half from the Tallahassee area.
