Ike Evacuees in The Keys to Return Home

Officials in the Florida Keys say tourists can return on Thursday.

Visitors were asked to evacuate last week under threat from
Hurricane Ike.

The storm's high winds caused some flooding in low-lying coastal
areas and downed tree limbs, but no major damage was reported.

Key West officials promised storm debris would be removed by
Thursday, and most hotels, attractions and restaurants were
expected to reopen by then.
