Death Toll Climbs in Haiti

SAINT-MARC, Haiti (AP) - The number of dead in Haiti from Tropical Storm Hanna is now at least 26, as the storm continues to take aim on the U.S. coastline.

Haitian authorities today reported five more deaths caused by Hanna. At a hospital swamped by floodwaters, nurses had to move patients to higher floors. Thousands of people remain in shelters.

And high water is still keeping U.N. soldiers from reaching one western city.

Haiti had earlier seen scores of deaths from flooding caused by Tropical Storm Fay and Hurricane Gustav.
