Some of the casinos along the coast in Biloxi, Mississippi had lady luck on their side.
The 11 casinos on the Mississippi Gulf Coast avoided major damage from Hurricane Gustav.
Mississippi Gaming Commission executive director Larry Gregory
said Tuesday that many of the casinos took in water on their ground
floors but there was no structural damage to any of them.
Gregory says when the casinos reopen will depend on when
clean-up can be completed and adequate staff can get in place.
Of the casinos in Biloxi, only the Hard Rock Hotel is reporting any significant damage.
A groundskeeper at the Biloxi hotel says 30-inches of water collected on the ground floor when the storm surge came ashore.
