SHORT TERM (TONIGHT-THURSDAY NIGHT)...
THE MODELS REMAIN IN GOOD AGREEMENT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AND
INDICATE THE DEEP LAYER RIDGE AXIS REMAINING THE DOMINANT SYNOPTIC
FEATURE THROUGH THE MID-WEEK PERIOD. PLENTY OF DRY MID TO UPPER AIR
COMBINED WITH THE UPPER RIDGE WILL KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT SUPPRESSED
FOR THE MOST PART. THE BEST CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL COME
FROM THE EAST COAST OVER THE BIG BEND AND SOUTH-CENTRAL GEORGIA
COUNTIES THROUGH THE MID AFTERNOON AND EVENING PERIODS THIS EVENING
AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY. ON THURSDAY...THE DEEP LAYER RIDGE AXIS WILL
WEAKEN AND SHIFT SOUTH OVER THE GULF COAST STATES AS A SHORTWAVE
TROUGH PASSES WELL NORTH OF THE AREA AND SURFACE FRONTAL BOUNDARY
LAYS OUT FROM EAST TO WEST OVER NRN GA AND AL. WILL KEEP ONLY A
SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS IN THE GRIDDED FORECAST THROUGH
THIS TIME THURSDAY. A BLEND OF THE TEMPERATURES FROM GUIDANCE OUTPUT
EACH AFTERNOON CLIMBING ABOVE AVERAGE INTO THE LOWER 90S. WITH
DEWPOINTS IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOWER 70S RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL
REMAIN IN THE 40S THROUGH THE AFTERNOON PERIODS EACH DAY.
