Gulf Forecast Discussion

SOLID NORTHEASTERLY FLOW ACROSS THE WATERS WILL LIKELY
LEAD TO A PERIOD OF NEAR CAUTIONARY CONDITIONS TONIGHT...AS
TYPICALLY OCCURS IN THIS TYPE OF FLOW REGIME. IT WON`T BE UNTIL
WEDNESDAY THAT ANY IMPACT FROM THE LOW PRESSURE AREA BEGINS TO
AFFECT THE COASTAL WATERS. SINCE THERE ARE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE
ORGANIZATION OF THIS SYSTEM...WILL INDICATE WINDS UP TO 20 KNOTS
OVER THE OFFSHORE WATERS BEGINNING WEDNESDAY MORNING AND CONTINUING
UNTIL THE SYSTEM TRANSITS WEST OF THE AREA ON THURSDAY. TIMING OR
INTENSITY CHANGES COULD AFFECT THIS FORECAST ONE WAY OR ANOTHER AND
WILL BE MONITORED BY FUTURE SHIFTS. WITH THE CURRENT
FORECAST...EXPECT AT MINIMUM TO SEE AN INCREASE IN SURF ALONG THE
BEACHES TO NEAR 4 FEET ALONG THE PANHANDLE BEACHES AND 2 TO 3 FEET
ALONG THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BEACHES ON WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL LEAD TO AN
INCREASED RIP CURRENT RISK AS WELL.
