SEACT's Second Samuel

Cultural Arts Center and the SEACT Office are selling tickets for Second Samuel, performing at the Cultural Arts Center April 29 - May 3.
Set in 1940s Georgia, the inhabitants of this sleepy southern town prepare for the funeral of one of their most beloved citizens. Second Samuel tells a gentle tale of small town life when the piano teacher suddenly passes away.

Told through the eyes and memories of the mentally challenged B Flat, we meet the folks of Second Samuel as they deal with a 25 year-old secret revealed upon Miss Gertrude's death. Pamela Parker's script weaves humor and drama with live bluegrass and gospel music provided by Dothan's own Pure and Simple Bluegrass. Each performance runs 2 hours with one 15 minute intermission. SEACT considers the content "PG".

Tickets are available online at, or by contacting the SEACT Office (334) 794-0400. The Office is open 9:00 - 1:00 PM weekdays, and located inside the Cultural Arts Center at 909 South St. Andrews Street in Dothan. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students/seniors 65+/military with ID. Performances are April 29 - May 3.
