Troy Univ. Summer Send-off Parties

Troy University will host Summer Send-off Parties in locations in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle to welcome new students to the Trojan Nation.
Freshmen and incoming students will meet future classmates and learn more about TROY during the events, which are also open to parents, prospective students, alumni and other friends of TROY.

“Summer Send-Offs are our way of celebrating the new class of TROY Trojans by recognizing them in their home areas with their families and friends,” said Tiffany Schmidt, director of enrollment services. “We also invite high school guidance counselors and prospective students to join us at our send-offs. By prospective students attending, they are able to learn more about the opportunities for them at TROY.”

There is no admission charge for the events and food is free to all who RSVP. Nine send-off parties are scheduled, and new students are invited to register for an event in their area.

Events will be held in:
• Cullman, at the home of Roy Drinkard, on July 20, 2-4 p.m.
• Birmingham, at the Cantina Tortilla Grill, on July 20, 6-8 p.m.
• Prattville, at Robert Trent Jones Capitol Hill, on July 21, 6-8 p.m.
• Montgomery, at the Arrowhead Country Club, on July 22, 6-8 p.m.
• Enterprise, at Mellow Mushroom, on July 23, 6-8 p.m.
• Mobile, at Ralph & Kacoo’s, on July 27, 6-8 p.m.
• Pensacola, at New World Landing, on July 28, 6-8 p.m.
• Ft. Walton, at Anglers Beachside Grill, on July 29, 6-9 p.m.
• Dothan, at Robert Trent Jones Highland Oaks, on July 30, 6-8 p.m.

This will be the annual fundraising event for the Dothan Education Foundation. Your support is vital to the continued success of our organization. There are several ways to support the event which will be held at the Dothan Civic Center on Thursday, September 22nd at 5:30 p.m. Sponsorships, Tables (including dinner) and meet and greet tickets are available through the Dothan Education Foundation. Balcony seating will be available for purchase through the Dothan Civic Center. 4th annual Adopt -A-School! Dothan Kick Off Breakfast

Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center
The Dothan Education Foundation will be hosting the 4th annual Adopt –A-School! Dothan Kick Off Breakfast on Friday, August 8th. The event will be held at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The breakfast allows Dothan City School adopters, Dothan City School principals and school coordinators the opportunity to collaborate and plan for the school year. Guest speakers will be featured. The speakers will discuss success stories and offer insight into ideas to enhance this very important relationship between community and our public school system. Breakout sessions will be included in the course of events. Breakout sessions allow businesses, faith based organizations, civic organizations, community members and schools to join their respective groups to discuss objectives and create opportunities for involvement and engagement. The closing session will allow schools and their adopters to join forces with new ideas and create a blueprint for a successful year.
