SEACT: The Dixie Swim Club

Dothan Opera House 115 N St Andrews St, Dothan, AL 36303 and the SEACT Office are selling tickets for The Dixie Swim Club, performing at the Cultural Arts Center Apr. 28 – May 2. SEACT closes its regular season with a sweet portrait of friendship about five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team. They set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other's lives. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. The comedy/drama was written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. Each performance runs approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes with one intermission. SEACT considers the content “PG-13.” The show includes mild language about adult situations.

Tickets are available online at or by contacting the SEACT Office (334) 794-0400. The box office is open 9:00– 1:00 PM weekdays, and located inside the Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students/seniors 65+/military with ID. Performances are at 7:00 PM Apr. 28 – May 2. The lobby opens at 6:00 PM with tickets on sale if the performance is not sold out. Reserved seating begins at 6:30 PM and there will be a cash bar available.
