"Crazy Thing Called Love" Couples Conference

Glory To Him Church, 6193 Andrews Avenue in Ozark, AL will be hosting a "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Couples Conference featuring Dr. Mark and Alison Rutland, on Friday, February 27, 7-10 p.m. and Saturday, February 28, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. This entertaining and energetic event is for couples of all ages and singles contemplating marriage or looking for their perfect mate. Citizen Law Enforcement Academy

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce its next Citizen Law Enforcement Academy, which will begin on October 9, 2014. For citizens who want a truly eye opening experience about law enforcement, this is where it all starts. Participants will spend about three hours in a class room once a week for approximately 10 weeks. The Citizen Law Enforcement Academy is a great program for any citizen who wishes to learn more about the field of law enforcement and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The class is FREE and will take place at the Sheriff’s Office Administration building located at 752 Triple G Road, DeFuniak Springs. A background check will be conducted on all participants who sign-up. To sign-up please visit and fill out the application online. Forms must be submitted by October 3rd.

Join local author Danielle Wallace at the Dothan-Houston County Library for fun, inspirational creative writing workshops. Teens will be able to express themselves using different genres of writing, ranging from poetry to fiction. These workshops are free, so grab your pen, notepad, and your imagination to make a difference in the world around you. If you know a teen that would love to attend, share this information with them.
