STILL ALICE Movie Screening
Green Hill Presbyterian Church
735 East Lee Street
Enterprise, AL 36330
The Alzheimer’s Support Group of Green Hill Presbyterian Church invites you to a special free showing of STILL ALICE.
"Alice Howland, happily married with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. When she receives a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring."
Green Hill’s Alzheimer’s Support Group meets once a month in the Fellowship Hall. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, at 10:00am. Dr. Kimberli Fougeron Ph.D., the group facilitator, has been certified by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Many of us are caring for individuals who have Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. Our meetings consist of education, guest speakers, sharing, and prayer. We share caregiving approaches we’ve tried and discuss what works, what doesn’t, and how we cab care for ourselves during these challenging times. We want all caregivers to understand the disease and to know that they are not alone.
For more information, please contact the church office at 334-347-9530.

2015 Alzheimer Walk to Remember
25.00 for registration & a shirt 15.00 for just walk
We are looking forward to a wonderful 2015 Walk as we celebrate its 23rd anniversary in our community! Your part helps make it possible for us to continue and expand the educational and support services to local Alzheimer victims, their caregivers, and family members.
At our annual event, walkers participate in their choice of a 1-mile, 3-mile or 5-mile route in memory or in honor of Alzheimer patients, caregivers, family and friends. Many participate as part of a team, wearing identical t-shirts and making the event a party. Others walk as individuals, part of a family, or with their pets. Participants soon find that it is more than just a walk to benefit Alzheimer’s. Local eateries donate wonderful barbecue, dessert treats, juices and more. Other businesses participate by donating door prizes that make the event seem like a celebration.
Wondering how to participate in A Walk to Remember? There are lots of ways!
1. Be a sponsor
2. Form a team and walk or just take up donations. (You don't have to walk.)
3. Walk as an individual
4. Prefer not to walk in the event? Volunteers are always welcome to help with behind the scenes activities!
