Morris Slingluff Memorial Golf

Dothan Country Club
The Morris Slingluff Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 8th at the Dothan Country Club.

Last year we surpassed our goal and provided $40,000 in Teacher Grants to DCS classrooms for the 2014-2015 term. Help us reach our goal this year and place a team in the tournament.

Teams are $500 for a 4 person scramble. Lunch will be served at 11:00 with Tee Off at noon.

Event proceeds are directed to our Teacher Grant Program. We appreciate this community and our schools for supporting this important event.

Dothan Country Club, Dothan, AL
The Dothan Education Foundation (DEF) is preparing to host its annual Morris Slingluff Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Monday, June 8th at the Dothan Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament are directed to grants the DEF offers to Dothan City Schools (DCS) teachers. The DEF has provided over $350,000 through its teacher grant program. Last year $40,000 was awarded for a variety of classroom projects that otherwise would not have been funded. Some of the projects funded last year were career software for the Accelerated Recovery Program, The Clothes Closet at the Dothan Technology Center, drum sets & hand chimes for music classes and an assortment of technological devices throughout entire system. This program encourages teachers to think outside of the box and bring creative ideas into their classroom. Community support in this tournament will continue to foster educational success for our students and grow creative classrooms.
