The Better Business Bureau of Northwest Florida Foundation is hosting a “Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics” online auction. The auction runs from 9 a.m. Monday, May 20 through 3 p.m. Thursday, May 30.

The site is http://nwfl.app.bbb.org/auction/.

The auction serves as a fundraiser to help the BBB Foundation fulfill its vision of “creating an ethical marketplace through community education and recognition programs”.

The auction works much like eBay. Many items up for bid have been contributed by BBB Accredited Businesses which are committed to adhering to BBB’s “standards of trust”.

Shoppers can bid on items ranging from restaurant gift cards, jewelry, hotel stays, spa trips, home items and golf outings.

Sponsors of the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics program include: StuderGroup, Landrum Human Resources Companies, Cox Communications and Pen Air Federal Credit Union.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for consumers to get some great buys on products and services that are being offered by trustworthy companies throughout Northwest Florida," says Norman Wright, president and CEO of your BBB.

The “Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics” auction offers a safe online marketplace where all transactions are completed directly with our organization.
