Southeast Alabama Community Theatre conducts auditions for its November production of Driving Miss Daisy, by Alfred Uhry, on Sep. 15-17th at the Cultural Arts Center in downtown Dothan. The 1988 Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-drama is presented by Extendicare and tells the story of an unlikely twenty-five year friendship between an aging, crotchety white Southern lady and a proud, uneducated, soft-spoken black man. This much-loved story explores themes of race, prejudice, friendship, and aging.
The directors and producers will conduct auditions at 2:00 PM, Sunday, Sep. 15th, and at 6:30 PM, Monday, Sep. 16th. Sep. 17th is reserved for Callbacks, only. More audition information and scripts are available at www.SEACT.com. Performances of Driving Miss Daisy are scheduled for Nov. 12-16, at the Cultural Arts Center.
