It is located in Sam Atkins Park, about 1 mile west of the intersection of Hwy 71 and Hwy 20. Look for the signs.

Your State Parks Day 2013
Seminole State Park, Donalsonville, GA
Take part in this volunteer workday at Seminole. We plan to continue clearing brush and debris from campsites to create more waterfront sites. Volunteers will meet at picnic shelter #3 (by the restrooms & playground) at 8 AM and we plan to work until 3 PM. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Tools will not be provided so please bring gloves, hole diggers, chainsaws, limb trimmers, axes, weed eaters, shovels, rakes and comfortable shoes. Entrance to the park is free to all on Your State Parks Day. Sponsored by Friends of Georgia State Parks.

Hispanic Heritage Gate-to-Gate Run
Daleville to Ozark
The Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center will be hosting the annual "Gate to Gate" run in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month. Race day registration will be from 7:30 - 8:30 am in the parking lot by the Daleville Gate on 3rd and Raider. The run will begin at 9 am. Participants will be bused to the Ozark gate from the Daleville gate. The last bus will leave at 8:40 am, so participants are encouraged to arrive early. Participants are encouraged to pre-register prior to race day. Forms will be available at either Physical Fitness Center. Bike it for the fun! Bicycle riders are also welcome to participate (no awards given) and will start the race at 8:55 a.m. Bikes must be staged at the Ozark Gate and bikers will return to Daleville gate to register and bus to the start. Oktoberfest meets Barbecue Competition in Dothan, Alabama September 27-28, 2013. This KCBS sanctioned BBQ competition draws teams from across Alabama and features $5,000 in prize money and an entry to the American Royal for the cookoff/ BBQ winner. It is also a stop on the Alabama BBQ Trail and has a points award for national barbecue team rankings.
Spectators enjoy polka music, country and rock bands, an indoor Biergarten, outdoor "man cave" and loads of shopping opportunities. Barbecue and Bratwurst dominate the food menus from regional vendors, and beer is available in several areas.
