We would like for you to let the public know of our 2nd Annual Fall Festival to be held October 25th, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church at 1404 N. Hwy 79 north of Bonifay and south of Esto, FL. This year we will have a bouncy house and an Air Slide as well as our famous Cake Walk, Door Prizes, Trick N Trunk, games, sack races and plenty more!!!! Come hungry and ready to have a wonderful time in Christian fellowship with our church family. Everything starts at 4pm and should end around 7pm, you can come as you are or if you would like to come in costume, come as your favorite Biblical person! Fall Farm Day at Landmark Park

Landmark Park will celebrate the rich history of the Wiregrass with the annual Fall Farm Day (formerly known as Wiregrass Heritage Festival) on October 25 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Peanut harvesting the old fashioned way will take place throughout the day, as well as cane grinding, syrup making, antique tractor and engine displays, and cooking on a woodstove. Syrup, warm from the kettle, will be on sale at the event. Tractors will participate in an Antique Tractor Pull and Parade. Entry forms for tractors and quilts can be found online at www.landmarkparkdothan.com.
Admission to Fall Farm Day is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and active military, $4 for kids and free for park members and children 2 and under. Concessions will be available, and the Martin Drugstore and Shelley General Store will be open.
Landmark Park will also host the Landmark Park Quilt Show, held in conjunction with Wiregrass Heritage Festival, on October 24-26 in the Stokes Activity Barn. The theme for this year’s show is “The Power of Pink” in honor of breast cancer awareness.
Over 100 quilts are expected to enter the juried show, as well as a non-juried exhibit of antique and contemporary quilts. A silent auction, quilting demonstrations and sewing related vendors will be present on Saturday.
Admission to the quilt show is free with your paid gate admission ($4 for adults and $3 for kids on Friday and Sunday). Admission is free each day for Park

Deep South Volleyball Club
.An important parent/athlete information and pre-registration meeting will be held on October 13 from 7-8 PM
Tryouts will be held at Enterprise High’s gym on Sunday, November 9th. Tryout times for different age groups will be given out at the registration meeting.
The Deep South Volleyball Club is forming teams to compete in the upcoming USA Junior Olympic Volleyball Club season. Interested girls, grades 4-12th are eligible. An important parent/athlete information and pre-registration meeting will be held on October 13 from 7-8 PM at the Enterprise High School Administration Building. Information concerning team formation and cost will be provided. Directions for the registration process that must be completed prior to tryouts will also be given. Tryouts will be held at Enterprise High’s gym on Sunday, November 9th. Tryout times for different age groups will be given out at the registration meeting. We are looking forward to an exciting season.

FURfest is a fund raiser for Felines Under Rescue (FUR) which is a TNR (Trap Neuter Return) organization that sterilizes feral/community cats in an effort to control the overpopulation in the Wiregrass area. FUR also assists at need pet owners with financing for spay/neuter procedures for pet dogs and cats.
Felines Under Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 organization and has enabled thousands of dogs and cats to be spayed/neutered in 11 years.

Spooky 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run & Costume Contest
Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center Building 5900 Skychief
The Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center will be hosting the annual Spooky 5k, 1 Mile Fun Run, and Costume Contest on October 25th beginning at 9 am. Registration on the day of the event will begin at 7:30 am and end at 8:45 am at the Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for this event. Forms will be available at either Physical Fitness Center. The 1-Mile Fun Run is free and open to all children and will begin after the 5k is completed. Each Fun Run participant will receive a medal. There will be a costume contest with 1st place trophies for Overall Best Costume, Scariest Costume, and Most Original Costume for both adults and children categories. The costume contest is free to enter and will start at 8:15 am. Trophies will be awarded to Overall Male/Female, Master Male/Female, Grandmaster Male/Female, 1st place trophies in 14 age categories and medals for 2nd and 3rd place in 14 age categories; team trophy to 1st place team and team streamers awarded to the top 10 qualifying teams. Cost for the run is $20 for individuals and $120 for teams before October 20th and $25 for individuals and $160 for teams October 20th and up to race day.
