Alabama Lions VIP Fishing Tournament and the Extreme Experience Retreat

Sunday, September 28, 2014

Blue Lake south of Andalusia, Alabama.
The event will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 preceding the 5th annual Extreme Experience Retreat(EER) at Blue Lake south of Andalusia, Alabama. Many adults who experience vision loss tend to become frustrated with life changes and stay in their safe zone. EER is an educational, fun retreat where VIPs learn new skills and become more independent. The lions sponsored fishing tournament and the Extreme Experience Retreat draw sight impaired adults together for 4 days and 3 nights. Last year over 80 people came and with the fishing tournament we expect to top 100 this year. There is a need for sighted fishing guides who can assist someone to catch the big one. There are also needs for transportation, serving a lunch, prizes, and much more. If you can not find time to participate directly, your donation will be appreciated. The tournament winner will win a trip to the big North Carolina Lions National fishing tournament in October.

Expenses for the Alabama VIP fishing tournament are $25 per person and for the Extreme Experience Retreat $199.
