Dothan Leisure Services is hosting it's Pitch Hit & Run competition Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Doug Tew Ball Park.

Registration begins at 5:30pm & there is no cost to participate.

Ages 7-14 (Age control date July 17, 2014). Age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.
You must be a Dothan resident to participate and a birth certificate is required.

Pitch Hit & Run provides youngsters across the country the opportunity to participate in the official baseball & softball skills competition.

Winners of each group of the LOCAL competition advance to the SECTIONAL competition.

This Is “No Bull” -­ The Boardwalk On Okaloosa Island Brings Family Friendly ‘Bulls On The Beach’ 3 Day Event To Okaloosa Island.
Live Music, Mechanical Bull Riding & Live Professional Bull Riding April 23-­25, 2015

This fun-­filled, family friendly event and rock n. roll rodeo is coming to THE BEACH! This inaugural event features pro rider, Cody Harris, CMT’s ‘Dukes of Cattle’ and ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ reality TV star, among others in this sanctioned event. Festivities begin, Thursday April 23rd with a sit down dinner with “The Cowboys” at The Crab Trap restaurant at 7pm. A portion of the $100 per plate dinner will be donated to The Emerald Coast Autism Center and Horizons. Tickets are on sale now at www.bullsonthebeachfwb.com

Friday, April 24th features a Mechanical Bull Riding Contest starting at 5pm Admission is free. Waivers required of all participants! Gates will open at 5pm for the bull riding event and pyrotechnic show which starts at 8pm. After the bull riding, ticket holders 18+ get free admission to The Swamp for the after party and live entertainment.

Saturdays festivities begin at 3pm with vendors and a kids fun zone in the parking lot and meet & greet with the cowboys. A bikini bull riding contest starts on the beach at 3pm with over $1000 in cash & prizes.

Admission is free. Grab a bite to eat from one of the 3 great restaurants on the boardwalk and get your seat for the main event! Gates for the rodeo will open at 3pm and show kicks off at 8pm. ½ time show will feature an intense game of ‘Bull Poker’!

Rodeo-­ General Admission Advance Sales-­ $20, children 10 and under are free. On stage VIP seating-­ $75 per person with a complimentary bar during the rodeo and VIP seating at The Swamp after party.

Chipola Feather Fest

Chipola Feather Fest offers an opportunity to view an exciting number of birds unique to Jackson County and surrounding area.
