The Festival features food and craft vendors on Saturday, May 3rd as well as the following special events:

Friday, May 2nd
8 a.m. a 15-mile horse ride starts behind the Community Room
6 p.m. a Talent Show beside the Community Room – $10 entry fee with prizes: 1st prize $100 and a 3-song professional demo recording; 2nd prize $50 and 3rd prize $25 (Food vendors will be serving during the talent show.)

Celebrating the Best Jelly in the World
Friday, we will have a Bake Sale “From Colquitt’s Best Cooks” on the square at Dee’s, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Friday Night’s Concert on the Square will feature local and regional entertainers, including “Roger Buck Davis and the Individuals” and “The Bonfire Band”. Bring your lawn chairs pick up your dinner at restaurants on the Square and enjoy gospel, country and old time rock n roll. Music begins at 6:30 pm. And get ready to “Dance in the Streets” until 10:30 pm.

Saturday starts with 5K Run and 1 mile walk – Parade through the Square at 10 am.

Then to the “Festival at the Park” for the rest of the day: Entertainment, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Children’s Activities and Food Galore will be available.

While in Colquitt enjoy GA’s Agricultural Icon and 14 other murals – see the carved tribute to the American Indian and get tickets to “Mayhaw” a musical comedy at Cotton Hall.

Spring Art & Garden Festival Headland, AL

Headland will have a new festival this year on Saturday, May 17, the Spring Art & Garden Festival. This year’s event is an expansion of the former Daylily Festival and will feature an art show inside the park of Headland’s beautiful downtown square with farmer’s market and garden-related vendors to be situated on the perimeter. Entertainment, children’s art activities and gardening demonstrations are planned. Local daylily growers Bush Gardens will conduct garden tours that day.

Grand Ridge's 2nd Annual Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

The Town of Grand Ridge is gearing up for its Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt!!!
It features an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with 3 different age divisions having a total of 12 golden eggs worth $20.00 each. Admission to this event is free, but there are small fees for the children’s activities. There will be no charge for the egg hunt.
There will be something for everyone including arts, crafts, food vendors, children’s games and activities, and live bunny photos. There are a variety of activities for children and adults. Vendors will be selling T-shirts, candles, handmade crafts, jewelry, carnival foods such as corndogs, chicken on a stick, shrimp on a stick, corn, sausage dogs, and sno-cones. Games and activities for the children will include train rides, pony rides, Race Mania, slides, a bouncy house, and more.
We are inviting vendors to participate. Vendor spaces are $25 each with proceeds going to Sneads High School Project Graduation 2014. Any vendors that wish to participate are encouraged to contact Kim Applewhite at 850-209-7765.

Spring FURfest

Vendor space is still available at $15 for Spring FURfest which will be held Saturday, April 12, 9AM – 2PM, at 2187 S. Brannon Stand Rd., Dothan, AL, on the grounds of Cottage Antiques. For information call 792-8804.

Spring FURfest is an outdoor festival featuring antiques and antique appraisals, collectibles, art of various forms, homemade and homegrown goodies, bake sale, face painting, and other unique vendors.

Funded solely by donations, proceeds will benefit FUR (Felines Under Rescue), a TNR (Trap Neuter Return) program which sterilizes community cats in an effort to help control feline overpopulation, as well as helping cat or dog owners pay for their pet’s s/n if they cannot afford it. Operated by volunteers as a 501 c3 non-profit organization, FUR is responsible for sterilizing approximately 1200 cats and 70 dogs last year. FUR has been operating for 10 years in the Wiregrass area.
