Join local author Danielle Wallace at the Dothan-Houston County Library for fun, inspirational creative writing workshops. Teens will be able to express themselves using different genres of writing, ranging from poetry to fiction. These workshops are free, so grab your pen, notepad, and your imagination to make a difference in the world around you. If you know a teen that would love to attend, share this information with them.

Step 2: Set a challenging goal. Ask yourself the question “How much
money can I raise?” “What would be a challenging goal for myself?”
Step 3: Get Sponsors. Ask friends, relatives, neighbors, and local
businesses to sponsor you.
Step 4: Collect Donations. Any and all donations in cash or check are
welcome. The checks should be made out to Salvation Army.
Step 5: Return the Sponsor Form Envelope along with ALL of the
donations to Dothan Martial Arts Academy by October 3, 2014.

FURfest is a fund raiser for Felines Under Rescue (FUR) which is a TNR (Trap Neuter Return) organization that sterilizes feral/community cats in an effort to control the overpopulation in the Wiregrass area. FUR also assists at need pet owners with financing for spay/neuter procedures for pet dogs and cats.
Felines Under Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 organization and has enabled thousands of dogs and cats to be spayed/neutered in 11 years.

The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement is a living museum documenting rural life in NW Florida since the early 1800’s. Atlanta Pops Orchestra

Established in 1945, the Pops is comprised of Atlanta’s best musicians and performs throughout the southeast. The orchestra will perform a program focused on romantic music from movies, popular tunes and light classics. The performance will include “Somewhere in Time,” “Phantom of theOpera,” “Beauty and The Beast,” “West Side Story,” “I’ll Take Romance,” “All the Things You Are” and “Embraceable You.”
