Troy Recycles Day

Event Dates and Times

11/4/2017
Troy Lowe’s Parking Lot from 8AM to 12PM
The City of Troy and Keep Troy Beautiful hold Troy Recycles Day each year in coordination with America Recycles Day (ARD), a national initiative of Keep America Beautiful, which is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting environmental citizenship, encouraging individuals to reduce, reuse and recycle. America Recycles Day is a community-driven awareness campaign dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. This will be our 5th Troy Recycles Day, and each year we see more and more participation.

Troy Recycles Day will be November 4, 2017 in the Troy Lowe’s Parking Lot from 8AM to 12PM. This is a one-stop free recycling drop-off event for anyone in our community for our regular recyclables, electronics, donatable household items, and a range of extended recyclable items which are not included in the City's regular recycling service throughout the year. This is also a shred-event for secure document destruction provided by First National Bank and Troy Bank & Trust. The City of Troy Environmental Services will be at the event for our regular recyclables. The Ark Dothan and Discovery Recycling will be onsite for electronic recycling. Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity will also be onsite for donations of household items, useable clothing, fixtures, usable building materials, and many other items that these valuable organizations accept. Volunteers will be on site to help residents unload and dispose of recyclables.

So clean your closets, yards, and storage buildings out and come see us on November 4, 2017 from 8am – 12pm in the Troy Lowe’s Parking lot!

The City of Troy and Keep Troy Beautiful would like to thank the following partners in this wonderful event: Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Discovery Recycling, First National Bank, Habitat for Humanity, KW Plastics Recycling Division, Lowe’s, Salvation Army, The Ark Dothan, Troy Bank & Trust, and, of course, our own Environmental Services Department!
