She is thankful to have grown up in small town USA, a.k.a. Coshocton, OH.
She graduated cum laude in May 2013 from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. There, she majored in Broadcast Communications and minored in Public Relations. While at Westminster, Courtney explored all aspects of the college’s media through roles as Executive Producer, Anchor and Reporter of the County Line, the college’s student-run weekly newscast and as the news editor for the college’s newspaper. She and her best friend hosted a talk show on the college’s Titan Radio titled Hot & Cold with Hann and Court.
Prior to joining WTVY, Courtney was a news correspondent for The New Castle News where she would interview local residents and tell the stories that were important to them. She also wrote for her hometown’s newspaper, The Beacon.
Courtney interned twice at both WBNS in Columbus, OH and WTOV in Steubenville, OH. She gives credit to the wonderful news teams at these stations, along with the support of her family, for helping her develop the skills necessary to land her first job.
When Courtney’s not working, she enjoys meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, exercising and searching for Dothan’s best cup of coffee.
