Muriel joined the WTVY News team in May 2011 as a reporter/producer.

She comes from the "Big Easy!"
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA.

You can watch Muriel on air four days a week and on the weekend she produces the Saturday morning show.

Prior to joining News 4, she was an associate producer for WWL-TV's Morning show in New Orleans.

She interned at WGNO in New Orleans.

Muriel graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2008 and received a BA in broadcast journalism. There she anchored and reported for the school's news station, NSU 22. She also wrote for the school's newspaper and hosted a show on NSU’s radio station. She also, received the Louisiana Association of Broadcaster's Scholarship award in 2007.

When Muriel's not working she enjoys reading, fishing and roller skating.
