Female bowling champ strikes gold for sport

Kelly Kulick always wanted to win a men's tour championship. Her dream came true. Now she's the voice of a new generation of female bowlers.

Awards given were the Howell D. Coe Excellence in Athletics and Academics Award and the Ronnie Mendheim Coach of the Year Award.

Following Troy University’s win over the University of South Alabama, a Facebook page and Twitter account urging AP and Coaches Poll voters to #RankTroy sprouted up and the movement gained momentum quickly.

Two teams will take the field on Thursday night on the high school gridiron with the winner getting bragging rights for the next 11 months.

The Dothan Education Foundation put on it's annual fundraising event at the Dothan Civic Center Tuesday night. Legendary football coach Bobby Bowden was the highlight of the night.
