PHENIX CITY, Alabama -- Jamey Dubose is the new football coach at Central-Phenix City. That’s the same guy who coached at Florence the last two seasons. He won 45 games at Prattville from 2008-11.

He left the Falcons in January for Charles Henderson in Troy, where he almost doubled the number of players in that program in the first six weeks he was there. Now he’s gone after never having coached a regular-season game for the Trojans.

“I know people are going to have negative connotations about it,” Dubose told on Tuesday. “The Florence to Charles Henderson to Central-Phenix thing is three jobs in just a few months this year, but at the end of the day you have to do what’s right for your family and can’t worry about other things.”
