Austin Johnson will get his shot on the big stage this weekend. Johnson will play in the NUC All-American Game in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Elba standout will play for the South Team on Saturday afternoon. He accounted for 21 touchdowns and nearly 1,900 yards of total offense, splitting time between quarterback and wide receiver.
Johnson threw 31 touchdown passes as a junior, leading Elba to the Class 2A State Championship.
The NUC All-American Game has featured some of the top players in the country in recent years, including reigning Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel, Tennessee QB Tyler Bray and South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore.
