Dale County RB/LB Jamarius Henderson Commits to UAB

(DOTHAN)-- Dale County's Jamarius Henderson wasted no time after his Junior Day visit to UAB over the weekend. Henderson has verbally committed to Bill Clark and UAB.

"It just felt like the best fit for me. I really like Coach Clark and all the coaches," said Henderson.

Henderson, who holds offers from bigger programs like Kentucky and Cincinnati felt at home in Birmingham.

"I'm also thinking about my education in addition to winning. I've just been praying a lot and it's just the best fit," he said.

Henderson wants to major in Sports Medicine. On the field, he puts on a clinic. He is the reigning ASWA Class 3A Back of the Year.

Henderson rushed for 2,294 yards and 34 touchdowns. as a junior. He has interest from schools like Auburn, Mississippi State and Alabama among others.
