The Atlanta Falcons are hoping to jump-start football fever in the Wiregrass. The Falcons Tailgate Team paid a visit to the Publix in Enterprise on Monday.

The Tailgate Team came complete with Falcons cheerleaders and the mascot, Freddy the Falcon. NFL corporate officials place the Wiregrass as Jacksonville Jaguars country, but Falcons Tailgate Director Meagan Moguel, who graduated from Enterprise High School in 2007, has other ideas.

"Coming to Enterprise, many might think we are too close to Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars, but we think it's an ideal location and we have a lot of fans here that travel to Atlanta," Moguel said.

The Enterprise Publix stop was the only one scheduled by the Falcons Tailgate Team outside the state of Georgia this pre-season. Fans who came early got to take home Julio Jones giveaway drink glasses.
