The Wiregrass Cardinals Red Team has advanced to the Diamond Bracket of the AAU 17U World Series.
The Red squad remained perfect in Fort Myers, beating the Louisiana Warriors 5-2 and the Rhode Island Rays 16-4.
The Cardinals will play twice on Thursday, facing the Warriors again at 10:30 a.m., before taking on the Boston Rams at 1 p.m. The Cardinals beat the Rams 15-0 on Tuesday.
Pool play wraps up on Friday at 8 a.m., when the Cardinals face Brazos Valley Texas. At that point, the field will be re-seeded again for a single elimination tournament featuring the top eight teams.
