Lake Genard led Wicksburg to the third round of the Class 2A H.S. Baseball Playoffs this past season. Now, Genard hopes to continue his winning ways for Enterprise State.
Genard signed with the Boll Weevils on Tuesday. He put together a stellar senior campaign, going 9-1 on the mound with a 1.14 e.r.a. and 92 strikeouts in 67 innings of work.
Genard says he can't wait to get on campus and begin his career with the Weevils.
"It's actually just a dream to play college ball, and to go where my brother played was a big thing for me," Genard said. " I'm just ready to do my best."
Genard has family ties to the ESCC program. His brother, Sean Gancer, also played for the Boll Weevils.
