The Wallace Baseball Team will get to play in it's own tournament after all. The Govs have been added to the field for the State Tournament in Ozark, after the ACCC disqualified Enterprise State.

The Weevils were forced to forfeit seven games by the NJCAA, costing the team it's spot at Eagle Stadium. The Govs will take ESCC's place, when the tournament begins on Saturday morning.

Watch News 4 at 6 for the latest on this developing story. The statement from the ACCC is posted below:

Enterprise State Community College has informed the ACCC that due to NJCAA actions the college must forfeit seven of their conference games won this season. As a result of this action Enterprise in ineligible for post-season play and will not participate in the 2012 ACCC Baseball Championship.

After a careful review of revised Southern League standings, it has been determined that Wallace State-Dothan is now the South fourth seed and will participate in the championship event. The tournament bracket has been corrected accordingly.
