This past week, Coach Kevin Greene took eight of his boxers from his gym, Pound IV Pound boxing and fitness, to the Ringside World Championships in Kasas City, Missouri. Out of the eight, two of his boxers stepped out of the ring victorious.

11-year old Raven Tillis and 13-year-old Maniya Carlisle each won in their divisions. The two received gold belts in honor of their win. It was both of the girl's first matches ever. Not too shabby for a first time.

Tillis beat her opponent in three rounds. Maniya took victory in just 45 seconds. Coach Greene is proud of the girls for proving themselves in their first tournament. The group of fighters earned some time off for the week, but they'll step back in the ring on Monday to begin training for the P.A.L boxing tournament in Oxnard, California in October.
