It's been a big summer for some of our local baseball teams. The Dothan Post 12 American Legion Baseball Team just wrapped up a 12-0 western road trip, featuring tournament titles in Montana and Wyoming.

Post 12 is 29-3 this summer, and ranked as the number one team in the state in American Legion Baseball. The "Dozen" won't be home for long, hitting the road on July 5th for it's annual trip to the Independence Classic in Columbia, Tennessee.

It's also been a productive summer for the four teams under the Wiregrass Cardinals umbrella. The Cardinals 19U squad is 17-1 this summer, losing it's only game, so far, this past weekend.

The Cardinals Red squad is 16-8, with the Blue team posting a 15-7 record. The Red and Blue teams are both 17U programs.

The Cardinals 14U team is 18-12 this summer, playing primarily against high school competition. The 19U, Red and Blue teams will compete at a tournament in Albany, Georgia this coming weekend.
