Softball state championships will be on the line this weekend in Dothan.
Forty-six teams in the Alabama Amateur Softball Association will compete for state titles in various age groups.
Dothan hosts tournaments like this every year, and the city always gets a good response from the visiting teams.
"We've always been told that our park's the best out of any that they play in. It's that way because of the staff that we have in," Athletic Complex Manager Troy Jones said. "Our staff cares. We try to make it golf course quality and that's what we strive for and they do it."
Champions in the 18-U and 16-U divisions will automatically earn a spot in the national tournament later this summer.
The tournament starts Friday at 6 p.m.
The Bombers from Enterprise will be in the 12-U division while the LA Bandits and the Spartans from Dothan will participate in the 16-U and 18-U divisions.
