The Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame will induct it's 20th class on Saturday, July 14th. Ten of the biggest names in local sports history will be recognized at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center.
Among that group is former Abbeville and Alabama star Ronnie Joe Barnes. Barnes was an All-State football and basketball player for the Yellow Jackets, before moving to Alabama, where he helped the Crimson Tide win the 1975 National Championship.
Barnes and his fellow classmates will be inducted on Saturday, July 14th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each. For more information, call 699-2172.
The Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament will be played on Friday, July 13th at Dothan National. For information on the tournament, call 797-1518.
