The Circle City Classic kicked off in Dothan tonight.
Post 12's annual tournament features some of the best Legion teams in the southeast, including traditional rivals like Tuscaloosa Post 34 and Columbiana Post 131.
Dothan Post 12 started things off Thursday afternoon with a game against the Wiregrass Sports Academy.
A leadoff double by LaDonis Bryant was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg for Post 12. Bryant doubled and a throwing error allowed him to reach third base safely.
From there, Post 12 put up nine runs in the first inning alone. After two innings they held a 17-0 lead, and three more runs in the third called for a mercy rule victory.
Post 12 finished with a 20-0 win.
