The Pike Liberal Arts Baseball Team is one win from the AISA Class AAA State Championship. But, the Patriots will have to wait one more day to play for the crown.
The Patriots split a double header with Tuscaloosa Academy at Paterson Field in Montgomery on Wednesday. Pike Liberal Arts won the first game 18-1, before the Knights battled back for a 5-4 win in game two.
That split sets a winner-take-all game three on Thursday at 11 a.m., back at Paterson Field. The winner will capture the state title.
