Phillip Parker has spent most of his life making an impact on athletics in Dale County. Parker was a star for Dale County High School in multiple sports, before going on to a standout football career at Troy.
He returned to Dale County after graduation, coaching and teaching at D.A. Middle School, G.W. Long and Dale County. Parker is no longer on the sidelines, serving as the principal at Midland City Elementary.
Now, Parker is being honored for his year's of outstanding achievement, earning a place in the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame. Parker will be inducted on Saturday, July 14th at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center.
