In Ozark this week, Kevin Greene, owner of Pound IV Pound Boxing and Fitness Gym, opened his ring up to some visitors.

World-renowned boxing coach Gloria Peek and her 15 boxers traveled from Norfolk, Virginia to team up with Greene and his boxing crew for a week of training.

The two coaches have put their boxers through rigorous training all week, sometimes three and four a day practices. All the kids are prepping for the Ringside World Championship in Independence, Missouri on Monday.

Glorida Peek is not just any coach, she's a piece of history. In 2012, she became the first female to coach boxing in the Olympics. She helped bring home a gold medal and bronze medal for the United States. She's also the only woman in the world to coach men's elite boxing. Coach Peek paves the way for women in the boxing world. Now, more females are jumping in the ring to follow in Peek's footsteps.

Peek has been coaching for 36 years and her boxers now say that she's more than just a coach. She's also their mentor, an inspiration and a second mother.
