Mickey Crawford excelled in several areas of athletics during her career. Crawford was a successful basketball coach and umpire for four decades.
The Abbeville graduate made her biggest mark as a coach at Morrow Middle School in Clayton County, Georgia, winning 454 games and eight championships. She was also a decorated umpire, officiating 19 national tournaments.
Now, Crawford is heading to the Wiregrass Sports Hall of FAme on Saturday, July 14th. For ticket information, call 699-2172.
